This is what happens when you have two shows happening at the same time and you promise a piece to one venue then decide it needs to go to the other. Frankly I've never had this problem (?) before, I try to schedule shows with months (or a year) between them. The invitation to show at an art museum with only about 6 weeks notice was too good to pass up. What artist doesn't want an art museum line for their resume? The other show was planned for in 2013. As similar as these two pieces are they each feel a little different. I thought it was interesting to see them side by side.

Seattle traffic is worsening by the minute. Arterials are being reduced from 4 lanes to 2. The local government is turning parking spaces into mini parks or adding bike lanes that some bicyclists choose to ignore. And let's face it, a hill town such as Seattle isn't going to have a ton of bicyclists. Uber and Lift drivers (who by the way are never drug tested as other professional drivers are) stop anywhere they like and forget their flashers then whip u-turns as they please, rules of the road be damned! People are moving here in droves, ma and pa businesses are folding as the rents skyrocket, buildings are torn down and replaced by expensive condos. That sweet little Mexican restaurant is gone and now there's a Chipotles in its place, just like any other city. To make matters even worse they have built a toll tunnel to replace the Viaduct. The average commuter will spend $$$$ a year to use it. Surface streets are becoming more congested and commute times are lengthening. Construction around town closes streets making it even crazier. Last count there were 55 cranes in operation, more than Dubai! I have been a professional driver in Seattle for 13 years but I quit. Be safe out there whether you're a pedestrian, motorist or bicyclist.
