I had always wanted to go to India and when the opportunity presented itself I jumped at the chance. I went with a group of artists, led by master jeweler Ron Ho, to see textile work. It was the most exciting trip I have ever taken, India felt like another planet.  Kind people, color and pattern everywhere I looked and the most satisfying food I'd ever eaten, that was my experience. Now after almost 3 years later I still think about that time and long to return.

What has stayed with me is the desire to create work tin work about color and pattern.
