Sometimes I work on a piece for so long that I think it's finished before it is. Then by seeing it every day for a few weeks I gradually see that it's not finished, but I can't always figure out what's missing. Occasionally it's because the perfect piece of tin hasn't presented itself yet or I need the in-put of trusted artist friends. In this example both happened to be true.
Better photos soon. This is what kids did on the playground when I was in elementary school.They would walk up and say" Shake", putting out their hand. I always knew something was up but did it anyway. Once they had my hand the would say "speare, kick in the rear" and pull me around and then kick me in the butt. This piece is for the show at Zeitgeist.
I am in love with working with tin. Absolutely head over heals in love. Each piece I create teaches me something new. It's so fun to be learning new stuff all the time.
So here she is, about to jump into the pool. She has her goggles, flippers, water wings, bathing cap and by the looks of those shoulders, she knows how to swim. And then there are the sharks, of which she is completely unaware. No life guard to save her, she's on her own and thinking she is safe because she is prepared.

Nana was 6ft tall and weighed over 300 lbs, but when she danced she was light on her feet.

Nana had a chocolate poodle named Mitzi; the dog was stolen out of her car a week before she died.
Nana drove a red Ford convertible off a bridge when she fell asleep at the wheel.
