This one is turning me on like it should. Looking at her hands, it looks like she is wearing dish washing gloves so I need to re-do her hands. A very exciting part of this piece for me is the top part. I took apart some vintage tops and pop riveted them onto a piece from an erector set. I love how doing one thing can lead to another. Thank you Rebecca, for sending me in this direction for now.
Napkin holder, See's candy container, switch plate cover from Mexico, lid of a Kahlua tin,Mexican candle tin, cookie tins and a lid from some strawberry jam.
A little something I'm working on for an on-line auction to benefit the children of Oaxaca. With every piece, I learn something. Usually something small but useful. With this one, it was stretching out the daffodils. They were cut from a See's candy tin and I really wanted them to be on both sides of the virgin. Then it came to me to just cut them in half and put them on either side. What was a small amount of daffodils has now filled out and looks like much more.
