Seriously.
Before removing bottoms and flattening.
After. Huge difference, so much more space. Also easier to find pieces that are needed.
So here is my advice on day two of flattening tin. If you are going to collect it for making art, flatten it when you bring it home. Don't let it pile up as I have. Even with a good electric can opener and some decent tin snips I will be at this every spare moment I have and will be finished about the end of July.
Once it's all flatten it will be sorted in tubs by color, or subject. I can hardly wait. Working on projects will be so much easier.
Oh,so you meant literally, eh Sarah?

" stuck with " because reaching into the drawer or digging through it can be a bit scary.. or painful. I think i'm going to try organizing it all a different way.

I have to limit myself . I only bring in as many as I can flatten. But now i'm stuck with drawers and drawers full of tin.

I just wanted you to know that I read this post and went straight into my studio and cut up all of my cans. (No small task!)
Thanks for the inspirational kick in the butt.
