This is an old multi-hanger from a thrift store that has been attached to the lid of a cookie tin with strips of tin and pop rivets. I think it will work really well for displaying Valentine examples for a card making party at work.

Oddly Compelling

 

These sorts of items, figurines(?), aren't typically my sort of thing, but when I found these two at a thrift store ($1.99) I couldn't resist. They go along somehow with the tin piece I did of the two women dancing.I like that they are barefoot and collecting flowers. I do wonder why the one is staring at the other's collar bone.

Back in the Studio

Originally this piece was to look more like a cigar band in shape and on a wider board. I just couldn't manage to keep it interesting while expanding it's edges.

If I had started with larger images it might have worked out as I had initially planned.

 

This work can be interrupted a few ways. My intention was for it to be about friendship. The friendships I have with my female friends are immeasurable. They are the only ones who would dress up and dance outside with me anyway, if I asked them to I mean.
