Okay, so Linda (in photo below) and I have been friends for almost 20 years. We were neighbors in an old brick building in Pioneer Square that had roof top gardens and a view of the Kingdome and Occidental Park. Anyway we decided to go to the East Bay for some shopping. We really wanted to check out Creative Growth http://www.creativegrowth.org/ in Oakland, CA because we had heard about the hooked rugs they make there and sell. While we were looking through one of the stacks of rugs one of the participants came over to watch
us Linda. After a while he said to Linda, " I really like your shoes".They were black and chunky if I remember right. Feeling a bit uncomfortable with his intensity I turned to him and asked if he liked my shoes, which were men's brown swede oxford style from Target. He glanced down at my feet and said "They're okay but they don't turn me on like they should." Linda and I looked at each other and managed to contain ourselves. From that day on we have been saying whether or not things turn us on like they should. It's a great expression, don't you think?
By the way Linda, congratulations! Check out her site at http://www.clementines.com/about-us-clementine.html
