There is this fabulous cheese farm in Fall City, WA where they make the most delicious cheese. The owner is this totally amazing woman who has raised 5 children and is now producing cheese that she sells mostly to restaurants. She also raises and cares for all the animals that produce the milk for the cheese. They are almost like her pets, she has names for them and today when we were there 2 cows and a yak came practically running to her and nudged her affectionately.
If you ever get the chance, make an arrangement for a tour, you will be glad you did.Their practices are organic and their herd is fed spent barley from the Pike Brewery during milking time.
Or if you like you can buy their cheese at 2 Seattle Farmer's Markets, Saturday at the University District one or Sunday at the Ballard one.
